This week I was lucky enough to receive a personal invitation to the Whitehouse! Now before you go off on a tangent, this one is not in the USA. The Whitehouse I visited is headquarters to Evolve Makeup in Australia and I was asked to come along to ‘get evolved’ by none other than make-up artist to the stars, Evolve Founder Eve Connelly.

Every woman needs a spoil now and then and with my hectic schedule and two small children to nurture and nourish, I often miss out on doing those girly things that just give you a giggle and make you feel good about yourself. I’d been talking with Eve about doing the uROk 33 Day Challenge as a corporate assignment in the Evolve business and she immediately saw a chance to do something special for me as a personal thank you.

When I spoke with Eve Connelly both on and off camera, I discovered that she is highly motivated by (amongst other things) the values of ‘Parenting’ and ‘Service’. Her son is her number one motivator and as she says in the interview “Why else would I be going it?” Ironically it was the very fact of being a ‘single mum’ that propelled her into her own business. To Eve, makeup is much more than just superfluous fluff and it has been her path to honouring her value of Service. “When I see the inner beauty shining in through in her eyes when she sees the finished result, I know what I’m doing is much more than painting faces.”

When you reconnect with the Real You and get clear on your personal values and purpose you begin to design more fulfilling and meaningful pathways to living the life of your dreams. This doesn’t mean success is easy per se. In the main it takes years of hard work and dedication to achieve anything worthwhile. However life is in the day-to-day living of it. If you’re fuelled by the things that really matter to you, instead of getting caught up in external noise and OPIs (Other Peoples Ideas) you’ll have much more stamina, endurance and joy for your ‘Doing’.

When your very Being is aligned with the bigger picture of life, your Thinking, Speaking and Doing work in harmony to bring your dreams to fruition. Stay clear on your ‘Why’ and you’ll always find a way ‘How’.
